Joe Thorson, along with his wife Mary, knew a thing or two about industry. When Joe returned home from serving in WWII, he built the family home from the ground up. Joe put that same kind of determination to work when he decided to combine his construction skills with his love of growing things, and in 1950 Joe’s Greenhouse was born. Joe continued to expand his vision with the help of Mary and their 12 children. What began with a few evergreen tree seeds became a thriving family owned and operated business. With four generations of family integral to Joe’s Greenhouse management and workforce, Joe and Mary's legacy lives on.

Today, Joe’s Greenhouse draws on its deep local roots to provide customers with hometown service, pricing, and quality products. Joe’s Greenhouse offers a wide selection of annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees, as well as fruit and vegetable starts, perfect for the landscaping and gardening needs of beginners and experienced gardeners alike. Several staff members hold degrees in horticulture and agriculture, combining modern technique education with seasoned, hands-on expertise. Joe’s Greenhouse is proud to be a member of the Utah Nursery and Landscape Association, as well as a partner with the Utah State University Extension Services.
